Glasgow Caledonian Fashion Showcase

Tartan and streetwear are two things we don’t normally see together. We have been seeing a lot more of this unique combination over the past few months as we had the pleasure of working with Glasgow Caledonian Fashion students on their live industry project. Forming part of their Fashion Concepts module, Second Year Fashion Design with Business students were tasked with creating a range of streetwear incorporating our exclusive Mist tartans.

After the awe-inspiring Autumn shoot with Willow and Wilde Photography and Film, we were delighted to be asked to provide another outfit for a breathtaking Winter Wonderland themed photoshoot at Auchen Castle.  Our chosen winter outfit for this shoot was the Hunting MacGregor Tartan, paired with the Glen Orchy Tweed Jacket and Waistcoat. Master Kiltmaking with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

At MacGregor and MacDuff, we have a passion for creativity and craftsmanship!  Our most recent artistic adventure had us working alongside students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Together we created a real life business scenario for the students, the project had a brief, timescale and budget. With the theme of ‘Master Kiltmakers,’ a very talented Lu Herbert, who is in her final year of BA Production Arts and Design specialising in Set and Costume Design, mocked up this enchanting and mystical concept for our Flagship's window. The design truly captures the essence of MacGregor and MacDuff, whilst complimenting our exclusive Arran Mist tartan....

We can’t quite believe that it is Autumn already! With a change of season, it was time for a freshen up of our flagship window display. Our Visual Merchandisers were thrilled to get back into our big Bath Street window and sprinkle some autumnal magic across the store.
