At the Scottish Wedding Show last month (February 2020), we had the pleasure to exhibit with Joyce Young Collections and showcase our new tartan partnership at our exhibition stands and on the catwalk! At MacGregor and MacDuff, we are proud to be innovative in everything that we do and so we were thrilled with the response to our exciting partnership over the weekend.
Our partnership with Joyce Young Collections was a partnership formed through our shared values and traditions that allowed us to offer unique, handcrafted products that honour our Scottish heritage. Using our exclusive Islay Mist tartan, Joyce Young Collections created a beautiful range of dresses for the bride and the bridal party that complement the groom’s Islay Mist kilt perfectly! Our Islay Mist tartan is our most versatile tartan and has been a firm favourite with our customers, whether they are hiring or purchasing their Highlandwear. Using the Iona silhouette dress, we are still amazed at how well the Islay Mist tartan has been represented on the silk wedding dress.
Having announced our unique partnership just a few weeks earlier, the Scottish Wedding Show was the perfect place to celebrate our partnership with Joyce Young Collections. Not only did Joyce Young create a stunning Islay Mist inspired wedding dress from her Tartan Spirit range, she also created some beautiful Mother of the Bride variations that demonstrate how tartan could be incorporated into the wider wedding party!
Our stars of the show at the Catwalk Fashion Show were, without question, our Page Boy and Flower Girl! With our Children’s Kilt outfits available to hire in our 14 hire tartans, including Islay Mist, and this cute tartan Flower Girl dress available from Joyce Young Collections, there’s a tartan style for everyone, no matter their size!
