At MacGregor and MacDuff we offer a wide range of hire tartans, which include our very own exclusive Mist tartans that you won’t find anywhere else. We also offer a kilt hire package where you can choose from any of our 4,000 tartans and the kilt you hire will be made specifically for you. When it comes to kilt jackets, our hire options include traditional options like the Prince Charlie or Argyll and for a more contemporary look, we have a range of modern Tweed jackets. All of our kilt outfit hires include all of the accessories you need to look your best at your next event.


Need to organise wedding kilt hires? With our Wedding Party Co-ordinators you’ll be able to arrange all the hires you need, with none of the stress. Our team will make sure everyone is measured and fitted in good time before the big day. You can also take advantage of our wedding party discounts with a £100 discount off your hire bill when you hire five kilt outfits from us.

Edinburgh Kilt Shop

MacGregor and MacDuff first opened its doors in 1979 in Glasgow. Over the years, the business has grown to have two stores in Glasgow as well as one in Prestwick, two UK pop-up kilt fitting services and two international kilt fitting services. What started as a local kiltmakers shop has become a global highlandwear specialist, and there’s no slowing down. 


In 2022, sights were set on planting some roots in the capital to be better able to serve the people of Edinburgh. While Edinburgh is bursting at the seams with Scotland-centric stores, most of them are geared toward the tourist industry. MacGregor and MacDuff is focused on delivering high-quality highlandwear for a wide range of occasions to a wide range of customers.

Our Edinburgh store is located in Flexspace Edinburgh Centre which is just a 5-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport. The store has ample parking and wheelchair access with easy road access from the M9 motorway. The car park is accessed via the first left on Harvest Road,  keep a look out for the blue and yellow signage of the Flex Space industrial estate.
