The Groom’s Room delivers an unrivalled styling experience, offering groom’s parties professional haircuts and shaves, complementary whisky and coffee, premium cigars, and our convenient dressing and kilt outfit delivery service on the morning of their wedding.
With both Islay Mist Whisky and our exclusive Islay Mist tartan having strong connections with one of the most iconic Hebridean Islands, the Isle of Islay, we knew this partnership would be the perfect blend. The collaboration between our brands has resulted in limited addition bottlings of Islay Mist Whisky with our tartan on the label and our customers being able to try some award winning whisky when they visit our stores.
Working together to bring innovation to the wedding industry, Joyce Young Collections has developed a beautiful range of bride and bridal party dresses incorporating MacGregor and MacDuff’s exclusive Islay Mist tartan. This exciting partnership formed through shared values of offering handcrafted products that honour our Scottish heritage.
Together with the Conservatoire, we created a real life business scenario for the students which included a brief, timescale and budget. In 2021, Lu Herbert, who was a final year student studying BA Production Arts and Design specialising in Set and Costume Design, rose to the challenge and spearheaded the project leading it from mock-up to installation. Our Bath Street shop window showcased the students final design, drawing attention from passers-by.
As part of GCU's renowned industry live projects, we were invited to create a brief for Second Year Fashion Design with Business students. Tasked with the challenge of infusing elements of our iconic Mist tartans into their streetwear designs, the best two projects were featured in the window display of our Bath Street store. As advocates of Scottish craftsmanship, we were proud to be a part of this project and continue to work closely with Glasgow Caledonian University for future collaborations.
Celebrating two of Scotland's oldest crafts, our partnership with The Scottish Malt Whisky Society allows MacGregor and MacDuff customers to experience an exclusive whisky club, giving them a taste of some of the worlds finest malt whiskies. The Scottish Malt Whisky Society is situated across the road from our Bath Street store, making it the ideal destination after a kilt fitting.
MacGregor and MacDuff are proud partners of The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Each year we put on our kilts and take part in the Glasgow Kilt Walk to support the charity. During the lead-up to the even, we run a kilt hire promotion where a significant portion of the revenue generated is donated to The Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. We also run tartan workshops for kids at the hospital itself, where they can unleash their creativity by designing their own tartan patterns while learning about Scotland's rich history.
In a bid to help divert landfill waste and encourage retail recycling among our customers, we have teamed up with the Shelter Scotland to provide shirts and socks to the charity’s shops in the West of Scotland. The clothing we donate helps raise funds that ensure the charity can provide advice and support to people who need help to find, keep or improve their housing.
With stores in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick, we continue to work with local initiatives in each area. From charity events to fundraising activities, we are always looking for ways to support our communities and contribute towards Scotland’s future.
