There are said to be roughly 50 million people around the world who claim to have Scottish ancestry. From places as far away as Australia to remote islands like St. Helena, you’ll be sure to find many Scots who, no matter how far away they are, champion their Scottish heritage.

A big part of what makes us Scottish is inside of us, it’s how we feel and makes up a part of who we are but an equally important part is our national dress, the kilt. 

MacGregor and MacDuff have been serving Scots abroad since 1979 and every month we send packages to each corner of the world containing everything from full kilt outfits to sgian dubhs. 

Over the years we have been able to fine tune our process to make sure we get your items to where they need to be, we also ensure the process of buying a kilt online is an enjoyable, quintessentially Scottish experience. This means reliable, informative and timely communication.

All of our international customers are welcome to a Virtual Kilt Fitting Appointment where one of our experienced staff will walk you through how to take the measurements needed to create the perfect fit. We will also help you choose your tartan as well as advise you on which accessories will match your outfit. Our Virtual Kilt Fitting Service allows you enjoy the same great service and attention to detail that our store fittings are known for, from the comfort of your own home.

What to expect

We want your online appointment to be a great experience. That’s why we have a few recommendations to make things a little easier for you.


We recommend:

  • Using a laptop instead of an Ipad. Ipads and tablets are great, but a laptop will help you navigate our website and follow along with our Stylist a little bit easier

  • Wearing thin clothing. This will help you take the most accurate measurements

  • Having a tailor's measuring tape handy. This is what we use for all our fittings and find it is the most reliable tool for getting precise measurements

  • To avoid background noise. If you have a pair of headphones, we recommend using them for your appointment

Once your appointment is complete, we send your measurements to our master kiltmakers who will get to work on creating your new outfit. Depending on the time of year, our made-to-order outfits will take around 14 weeks to complete so make sure you order in good time if you have a specific event you are looking to attend in your new outfit.

Delivery Details

We use a range of international delivery partners and your items will be dispatched using either Royal Mail’s International Services, DPD or Parcelforce. Please note that depending on your country, orders may be passed on to delivery partners in your local area. International orders are sent tracked which means you will be able to access delivery updates and a signature will be needed when your order arrives. 


Due to security restrictions, we are unable to send items to P.O. Boxes or Aramex addresses. We do deliver to BFPO address but please be aware that once your item enters the BFPO mailing system, your item will be under BFPO control and timescales. 


If at any time your item is subject to a delay for any reason, we will contact you directly to keep you informed. Be aware that depending on your country, additional taxes, charges or import duties may apply and be payable directly to the local import/tax authorities.
