As Christmas draws ever closer, we’re taking a moment to appreciate the festive window displays of our stores. With last minute Christmas hires and winter weddings still in full swing in, these striking displays are a little moment of calm.
This year, the display at our flagship on Bath Street was inspired by the classic festive poem ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas,’ more commonly known as ‘The Night Before Christmas.’ We wanted the scene to pay homage to our brilliant kiltmakers who work year round to create the highlandwear that we all love so much. From kilts and trews to scarves and handfastings, it’s their craftsmanship and skill that makes MacGregor and MacDuff so special.
To create this festive scene, our team of visual merchandisers repurposed a vintage sewing machine and table, rather than buying something new. Again, this is a celebration of the craftmanship of kiltmaking and this year’s display has got to be one of our favourites.
We were lucky enough to receive these wonderful images from Addie of Fifth of a Second Photography. Addie is a photographer based in Australia and we fell in love straight away with her dark, romantic style. We had a great day welcoming Addie to the store and enjoyed showing her what our authentic kilt shop experience is all about. We cannot thank Addie enough for sharing the results of the shoot with us, her photos really capture the essence of our Bath Street store.
If you find yourself on a winter stroll or are finishing off your Christmas shopping near one of our stores, you’re welcome to pop by to take in the seasonal scenes. We also have last minute like hires available at our Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick locations if you feel like dressing up for the festivities.
Thank you again to Addie for sharing her brilliant images with us. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and welcoming her to the store.
