At MacGregor and MacDuff, we have a passion for creativity and craftsmanship!
Our most recent artistic adventure had us working alongside students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Together we created a real life business scenario for the students, the project had a brief, timescale and budget. With the theme of ‘Master Kiltmakers,’ a very talented Lu Herbert, who is in her final year of BA Production Arts and Design specialising in Set and Costume Design, mocked up this enchanting and mystical concept for our Flagship's window.
The design truly captures the essence of MacGregor and MacDuff, whilst complimenting our exclusive Arran Mist tartan. Lu project managed her team who specialise in Scenic Art and Propmaking, and took us on a journey as they handcrafted each element of this striking window display.
Becci, a Scenic Artist, exquisitely hand painted this canvas as the backdrop for the scene, a canopy of trees and overcast dreamy skies. The addition of gold leaf perfectly ties in with our outfit’s Norwood accessories.
Prop makers Rachel and Nicky made the outstanding props, using their incredible talent to represent the craftsmanship of traditional kiltmaking.
We are completely blown away with the design of our new window. Make sure to walk past our flagship on Bath Street to see it in its full glory!
