After what feels like one of the busiest and warmest summers we’ve had at MacGregor and MacDuff, the rain and clouds have sadly returned and we’ve found ourselves reflecting on all of the excitement we’ve had. As well as looking forward to the last portion of the year. This summer was exciting for a lot of people, weddings and other events finally we're back in full force and we loved seeing everyone’s photos. Our team took part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk and were able to work closely with many of our amazing partners. Before we know it, we will be looking for our trusty winter coat. Even though the cooler weather is fast approaching, we still have a load of exciting dates in the diary for 2022.
Edinburgh Kilt Shop
That’s right, this Autumn we will be storming the castle and opening our brand new Edinburgh Kilt Store. Located just 5 minutes from Edinburgh airport, our store is in the ideal spot to serve residents of not only the surrounding areas but also people within the city limits.
Our new store will be able to facilitate all the highlandwear needs of our East Coast customers. Whether it is kilt outfit hires or highlandwear sales, our expertly trained staff will be able to make sure all of our customers look their best at their next event. From the 5th of December we are taking appointments, be amongst the first to see the Kings of Kilts in Edinburgh.
International Kilt Fittings
Our international kilt fittings are finally able to go ahead this year after a two-year delay and we are so excited. From the 6th to the 8th of October we will be returning to the big apple once again to hold our second Kilt Fitting Service in New York City. We first visited NYC in 2019 and it was a roaring success, so we can’t wait to be back over to see our lovely US customers again.
New York is actually the second stop on our international travels this year as we have added Toronto to the itinerary. We will be in Toronto from the 29th of September to the 1st of October to hold our first ever Canadian Kilt Fitting Service. There is a strong connection between Canada and Scotland with many Canadians having Scottish heritage. We are excited to meet the locals and introduce them to the MacGregor and MacDuff brand.
Our international kilt fitting services are a great way for people to gain access to high-quality made-in-Scotland highlandwear and also speak to highlandwear specialists without having to travel all the way to Scotland. At our fitting services, customers are walked through the entire buying process, as well as being professionally measured by our expert stylists. Their order is then sent back to Scotland to be made before being shipped directly to them. Our international fittings are by appointment only and space is limited, so make sure you let your friends and family know we are coming so we can get them booked in before we fill up.
Islay Mist Whisky Collaboration
We recently celebrated our Islay Mist Whisky partnership with a limited edition tartan bottling of their award-winning whisky. Grooms who hire an Islay Mist tartan outfit from us, receive a miniature bottle of Islay Mist Whisky in their sporran. In addition to this, you are now able to order miniature bottles of Islay Mist Whisky with our Islay Mist tartan printed on the label. You can even have them personalised so your best man will receive a bottle with his name and role at your wedding printed, this is available for everyone in your groom's party.
Our Islay Mist Whisky partnership is a special one to MacGregor and MacDuff because they share the same love for Scotland as we do. Watch this space for more exciting collaborations with Islay Mist Whisky.
