Imagine saying yes to a boy whose mother is a world-class dress designer. That’s exactly what Katie did when she accepted the proposal from her now husband, Ian. Ian is the son of the very talented designer and valued partner of MacGregor and MacDuff, Joyce Young.
Katie and Ian tied the knot in June at Lochgreen House Hotel and Spa on what turned out to be one of the sunniest days of summer. The stunning venue and picturesque surroundings looked like the perfect place to say the all-important ‘I Do's’.
With Joyce being such a talented wedding dress designer, Katie obviously asked Joyce to make her wedding dress. Katie already knew what dress she wanted which was the Chloe style with a hand-beaded bodice, circular satin skirt, and long flowing train. The dress looked spectacular on Katie and we have to admit, she made a really good choice.
Katie’s dress, however, wasn’t the only dress that Joyce created for the big day. Katie's Mum, the bridesmaid's dresses, and Joyce’s outfit, were all from Joyce’s collection. The blues in the bridal party dresses were all chosen to match the groom's party outfits.
Ian and his groomsmen all wore an Arran Navy Kilt Outfit with our exclusive Arran Mist tartan. Each of the groom's outfits were identical except for Ian's as he chose to add a plaid to help him stand out as the groom.
After an incredible summer of weddings, this one is the cherry on top. We have worked closely with Joyce Young over the past few years and we are delighted to see these photos of Joyce enjoying her son's wedding day.
