A Year of Scottish Style

It’s been another busy year here at the Kings of Kilts. We’ve launched a new tartan, taken our fitting service back to New York City and Toronto and been the go-to kiltmaker to the stars. Most importantly, we’ve seen countless grooms walk into their big day looking and feeling their best. Dream weddings are at the heart of everything we do and we love the opportunity to work with and meet suppliers across the industry. We have been lucky enough to provide outfits for some breathtaking styled shoots throughout the year. Dive into a few of our favourites below.

Groomswear Goals

Our first shoot of the year was one with a difference. Organised by The Social Brides Club who specialise in on the day content creation, this shoot was filled with candid moments. Real life couple Alex and Gregor added such an authentic quality and showed off our Arran and Oban Mist tartans for the modern groom.

Argyll Kilt Outfit for groom

A Greek Getaway

This shoot with the wonderful Michelle Malone and Mariri Tiffoney had us dreaming of summer weddings and getaways. Our Argyll Jacket and Silver Mist combination looked incredibly striking against the Santorini sunshine and iconic white architecture.

Tying The Knot

Throughout the year we work with Tie the Knot Scotland. Alongside providing expert advice and style inspiration in each edition, we are regularly involved in the magazine’s groomswear shoots. Our Glen Orchy Tweed and Tarbert Tweed outfits took centre stage at the Loch Lomond shoot, showcasing contemporary highlandwear. The year ended with an opulent wedding shoot at Killochan Castle and we opted for stylish silver accessories, a dapper bow tie and a pleated plaid to complete our look.

Autumn Wedding Inspiration

As we headed into autumn, we were delighted to be approached by Tass Floral Studios for their styled shoot at Dundonald Castle. The earthy tones of our Harris Mist tartan and Tarbert Tweed were the ideal match for the rustic vibes of the shoot and timed seamlessly with the launch of this outfit into our hire range

A Scottish Elopement

There’s nothing quite like a shoot in the stunning Scottish Highlands and we’ve taken part in a few this year! The first was shot and organised by Charlotte Wotton. Wandering some of the most iconic scenery around Glen Coe, our Oban Mist tartan looked right at home! Recreate this look with our Brown Tweed Outfit and an eye-catching fur sporran. We rounded off a year in style with a special shoot with photographer Whitney Graham. We helped Nica look the part as he said his vows to Chrissy in the breathtaking Glen Etive. We loved seeing our Arran Mist kilt in the wilderness, styled with practical walking boots and backpacks!
