There’s nothing quite like seeing our tartan come to life on photoshoot day. From weaving the tartan at our mills to selecting the ideal jackets and accessories, we love sharing our completed looks with you. Dive into our latest shoot below.
The star of our photoshoot was of course a showstopping array of tartans and highlandwear. Our Mist tartans took centre stage as we shot our Harris and Oban Mist outside, while our Arran and Silver Mist looked so at home in our opulent surroundings. In addition to our contemporary tartans, we also highlighted a more traditional Strathclyde Blue with a pair of trews, the Irish Roscommon tartan and Mountain Bothy from the new Glen 1873 collection. Whether you prefer your highlandwear modern or classic, grooms-to-be look no further for your wedding day inspiration!
Many of the outfits we shot featured our Signature Collection jackets and waistcoats. From midnight blue velvet to forest green tweeds, these outfits truly represent what MacGregor and MacDuff is all about. Our goal is to combine the art of traditional kiltmaking with a contemporary take on highlandwear. We want to inspire you to wear your tartan, your way.
These one-of-a-kind outfits needed a backdrop to match and we were delighted to be able to shoot at the stunning Marine Troon Hotel. Our kilts graced the hotel’s stunning bedrooms, events suites, restaurant and bar as well as the nearby Troon beach. We can’t thank the Marine Troon team enough for giving us a place to shoot and all of their help on the day too.
We were also lucky enough to have a fantastic team of local suppliers on board who really added the perfect finishing touches to our shoot. Our bride looked the part in a range of Joyce Young wedding dresses and Tass Floral Studios provided a beautiful bouquet and buttonhole to match. Artisan Weddings created a breathtaking arch and table setting fit for any couple on their big day, while Snowdrop Wedding Cakes made a charming wedding cake for us to match our Arran Mist.
We worked with a brilliant team of models on the day and were even joined by some special guests in the afternoon. First time models Ruaridh and Roman looked great in our Oban Mist and Glen Orchy Tweed combination from our children's hire range. Well done boys, we were so impressed!
If you’re feeling inspired to get kilted up ahead of your wedding day or another special occasion, our stylists are just an appointment away. See us in-store or via virtual appointment and watch your made-to-measure highlandwear take shape.
A huge thank you again to the wonderful suppliers who helped us make this magical day a reality.
