The Modern Prince Charlie Kilt Hire is a traditional look with a 5 button waistcoat that gives it a modern twist. This package comes complete with the following:

Traditional 7 Yard Kilt

Choose from any of our 15 hire tartans to create your highlandwear look. All of our hire kilts are of the highest quality and are machine-made from 100% worsted wool. The kilt also features a side fastener for a comfortable and adjustable fit. Watch our How To Measure for a Kilt Hire video below if you don’t already know your kilt size.

Prince Charlie Jacket and 5 Button Waistcoat

The classic Prince Charlie kilt jacket is a short-cut jacket with tails at the back and is suitable for black tie events. A traditional Prince Charlie jacket is worn with a 3 button waistcoat but the modern version comes with a 5 button waistcoat. This means that you have the flexibility to wear either a straight tie or ruche, as well as a bow tie with your outfit. Made from Barathea wool, the jacket features chrome buttons, Crail cuffs and twisted epaulettes.

Accessories

This Modern Prince Charlie hire package comes with all the traditional accessories you will need to complete your outfit. This includes; ruche tie, kilt pin, block colour flashes, black ghillie brogues, light or dark sporran, and brand new black or cream kilt hose. All of these accessories can be changed for an additional upgrade cost, including the option of a brand new shirt which is yours to keep at the end.

Hire Delivery

Our kilt hire orders are dispatched with either Royal Mail or DPD. We offer kilt hire delivery to anywhere within mainland UK and Northern Ireland. To make sure you are happy with your outfit, we aim to deliver your outfit at least four days before your event. This will give you enough time to try everything on and for us to send you a replacement item if something doesn’t fit. 

Hire deliveries to mainland UK are charged at £30 for the first outfit and £20 for each outfit thereafter. Hires to be delivered to Northern Ireland are charged at £55 for the first outfit and £30 for each subsequent outfit. The delivery charge reduction for multiple outfits is only applicable to outfits that are being delivered to the same location. Hire Collection

To ensure you get the perfect fit, your hire outfit will be available for pick up two days before your event. You can choose any of our Scottish stores for collection.
