Foxes Afloat Wedding at the Traitor's Castle

We love nothing more than seeing our couples’ big days come to life. One of our recent favourite weddings was Shaun and Colin’s. Dive into their wonderful day below!

Shaun and Colin are better known as Foxes Afloat and have been documenting their adventures, travelling on their narrowboat since 2018. They now live in the highlands of Scotland, crofting, beekeeping and discovering Scotland’s rich history. The couple have been married for many years but never had a full celebration, it was time to make up for that!

Colin and Shaun made the journey to our Edinburgh store to get measured and styled. The grooms-to-be browsed our vast range of highlandwear and accessories before making their final choices. We couldn't wait to see their outfits come to life!

The grooms stepped out in style on their big day in our Harris Mist tartan matched with its perfect partner, Tarbert Tweed. Shaun and Colin opted to add lots of personal touches to their outfits to showcase their unique style. They wore eye-catching fur sporrans and our bespoke Harris Mist tartan brogues, which are as versatile as they are stylish.

Shaun and Colin’s wedding took place at the majestic Ardross Castle, AKA the Traitor’s Castle. The grooms embraced plenty of Scottish tradition with a bagpiper and a ceilidh to get the party started.

It wasn’t just the grooms who donned a touch of tartan. Colin’s best man also wore our Tarbert Tweed Outfit, while Shaun’s sister added a touch of Scottish flair to her outfit with a matching Harris Mist tartan shawl.

A huge congratulations to Shaun and Colin, we wish them all the best for their future together. A list of suppliers can be found below and you can check out Foxes Afloat’s channel here.
