A Year of Scottish Style

2025 is drawing to a close and it’s been another wonderful year here at the Kings of Kilts. It’s been our busiest year yet, filled with weddings, celebrations and lots of tartan of course! Let’s take a look back at some of the year’s highlights.

Our Mist Collection Expands

The new year brought a new tartan and tweed to our collection. We launched our Jura Mist tartan in January along with its perfect partner, our Jura Brown Tweed. This versatile and striking tartan was inspired by the rugged beauty of the Isle of Jura. Available to both hire and purchase, we have loved seeing grooms, guests and more step out in this contemporary highlandwear combination.

Kiltmaker to the Stars

We were lucky enough to dress some familiar faces this year for exclusive events up and down the country. Working alongside tailor extraordinaire Joshua Kane Bespoke, we created two one-off kilt designs for David Tennant for the BAFTA’s and Scottish BAFTA’s. We also helped several stars look their best on their big days, ranging from sleek groomswear for footballer Ryan Christie, a Signature Design look for actor Richard Rankin and a modern twist on tradition for DJ Denis Sulta

30 Years of Prestwick

Our Prestwick kilt shop turned 30 this year! We were delighted to celebrate our charming seaside kilt shop with a look back at tartan through the decades and how highlandwear trends have evolved since we opened. This special window display showcased some of our customers' weddings over the years. Our Prestwick team loves being a part of the local community, and this display was a way to thank them for their support over the years. Here’s to many more years!

Weddings, Celebrations and Graduations

While we’ve had lots to celebrate this year, the most important thing remains bringing your dream highlandwear to life. It has been a pleasure sharing our Scottish style with customers new and old. We can’t wait to welcome many more of you to the MacGregor and MacDuff family in 2026.
