Show your support in style with our Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity Tartan 8 Yard Traditional Kilt.

This 8 Yard Kilt is carefully crafted using the unique Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity Tartan and is a versatile choice for weddings, special events and casual ceilidhs. Made in Scotland using 100% worsted wool, our kilts are durable and designed to last. 

There are 3 sizing straps, 2 around the waist, and 1 around the hips for better shaping around the body. This gives the pleats their famous swing. There are two belt loops at the back of the kilt. This kilt is machine stitched, with some features finished by hand. The kilt will be pleated to the sett, which means that the tartan at the back of the kilt has been pleated in such a way that it mirrors the pattern on the front.

A range of highlandwear and accessories are now available in the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s official tartan. The tartan was designed to celebrate the charity’s 25th anniversary and we are delighted to be able to bring this tartan to their supporters, patients and families. All of the proceeds from the sale of Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity tartan products go directly to the charity.

Upgrade to a Fully Handmade Kilt

We have the option to get your kilt fully handmade, meaning that every stitch is completely hand done. 

A handmade kilt is a lifetime investment, which can be passed down to future generations. 

This type of kilt can be completely re-made to fit a new waist measurement, up to 8” difference either way. 

All of the stitches can be unpicked back to the 8 yards of material and then remade to a new size.

Delivery Information

Our domestic orders are dispatched with either Royal Mail or DPD and our International orders are dispatched by Royal Mail’s International Services, DPD or UPS. Alternatively, you can collect your purchase from one of our stores at no extra cost. 

All of our kilts, trews, jackets and outfits are expertly made-to-order by our master kiltmakers and this process takes time. Depending on the time of year, the expected lead time is between 12 and 14 weeks for a full highlandwear outfit.

We always strive to get your items to you as quickly as possible but please keep this lead time in mind when ordering.

Once you have placed your order our team will be in touch with you to confirm expected delivery timeframes. They will also keep you informed of any changes to these timeframes prior to your delivery.
