A Brief History Clan Campbell

The Campbell clan motto is "Ne obliviscaris" (Forget Not) and historically the Campbells held land in Argyll, located in the western Highlands. The Campbells were a large clan with a lot of influence across the Highlands, making them one of Scotland's most prominent clans.

The Campbells were able to use Scotland’s turbulent history to forge alliances and brokering deals to elevate the clans position within the country. The legacy of Clan Campbell is not without controversy. Their role in historical conflicts, such as the infamous Massacre of Glencoe, has left a lasting mark on their reputation.
