The Tartan Pleated Plaid combines the rich heritage of the Tartan Plaid with the unique innovation of the plaid being pre-folded and stitched together for a sophisticated touch to your outfit.

Our expertly crafted Pleated Plaids are made from 100% worsted wool and available in a range of clan and modern tartans to pair with your kilt. In the formative years of the kilt, the original kilt was an untailored, large piece of cloth literally known as a ‘Big Wrap’ that was wrapped around the body and flicked over the shoulder.

The modern Pleated Plaid combines tradition and innovation for a match made in heaven!

Measuring 140cm by 11cm in width with a frayed edge, the Pleated Plaid is worn over your shoulder and attached to the shoulder of your jacket. To complete the look, be sure to check out our range of brooches.

Before your big event, we can pin your jacket and plaid together for you if you bring them into one of our stores at your earliest convenience!

Please allow 6 weeks for production time.

All of our Pleated Plaids are masterfully handcrafted so we also recommend allowing extra time for the production of your Pleated Plaid if selecting a more specific clan tartan.

Some tartans will have additional charges due to their cloth costing more to produce, however, all additional costs are mentioned within the tartan selection of this product.
