The Groom’s Room
Who says the bride is the only one who gets pampered on the morning of the wedding? The Groom’s Room is an exclusive service, in partnership with House Martin Barbers, that gives grooms and their groomsmen the opportunity to relax and get styled to perfection before the ceremony.
At the Groom’s Room, everyone will enjoy complimentary drinks, coffee, cigars, and a hand or two of poker before receiving a professional shave and haircut. This will then be followed by getting dressed by our expert stylists who will have brought all the kilt outfits to House Martin Barbers for everyone to get dressed.
This is a great option for grooms to mark their morning in a memorable way, rather than just getting ready in the house or at the hotel.
2022 Highlandwear Styles
Choosing what highlandwear style you and your groomsmen will wear on your wedding day is always going to be a very personal choice, but here at MacGregor and MacDuff, we have noticed a few trends. As weddings are one of the more formal occasions on the calendar, Argyll and Prince Charlie have historically been the go-to outfit option. However, more and more grooms are choosing tweed jacket options for their wedding outfits.
The great thing about tweed jackets is they are more colourful than traditional options. This means that you can match your jacket with your tartan as well as the bridesmaids' dresses. Tweed jackets also have a suit-style cut which helps make them more modern.

At MacGregor and MacDuff we offer a tartan design service where you get to work with our in-house tartan designer to come up with your very own tartan. You choose the colours, the arrangement, and overall design then we mock it up and get it registered with the Scottish Tartan Authority.
This is a great option for people who want to mark their wedding in a very special way. Not only will you be able to wear your one-of-a-kind tartan on your wedding day, but we can also offer different accessories in your tartan including handfasting ribbons and ring bearer cushions.
