When we were approached by The Sunday Times Style Magazine to take part in their shoot with actor Ncuti Gatwa, we didn’t hesitate to get involved. Known for his exuberant style, we were so excited to see how the newest Doctor Who would wear our kilts. Keep reading to see what tartans Ncuti wore and how they were styled.
We were delighted to see that Ncuti graced the magazine’s cover in our Oban Mist tartan. He paired our kilt with a casual grey cardigan and black boots, making for a stylish yet comfortable look. Ncuti’s outfit shows that kilts aren’t just for special occasions. Dress your tartan up or down and enjoy it everyday! With its soft grey tones and a pop of pale blue, Oban Mist was the ideal choice for this subtle yet striking look.
Our highlandwear was also included in two other looks from the shoot. First, Ncuti took our Silver Mist for a spin, layering it over trousers and completing the look with an intricate cream shirt. Our Silver Mist tartan is a go-to if you are looking to add a contemporary edge to your outfit and as the final image shows, this is one of our most versatile tartans. Ncuti also put a twist on our classic dress sporran, wearing it as a crossbody bag. Standout accessories can take your outfit to the next level and are an excellent way to showcase your personal style. Wear your highlandwear your way!
While our kilts are made using centuries old techniques, Ncuti’s shoot really shows how our Mist tartans can add a modern element to an otherwise traditional garment. Our Mist range is available to both hire and purchase, check out the full collection online today.
If you have been inspired by Ncuti to take our highlandwear for a spin, book an appointment with our stylists today. Whether you prefer a more traditional highlandwear look or want to experiment with our tartans and tweeds, our team will help you find a look that’s just right for you.
