Every year Prestwick Community Council runs a competition to crown the best window display on the town’s high street and we love to get involved. We are over the moon to be this year’s winner! Keep reading to see our winning design.
With The Open taking place in nearby Troon earlier this summer, golf was the competition’s theme. Two of Scotland’s most famous exports, tartan and golf go hand-in-hand and so we knew that this brief would suit us perfectly!
Our Visual Merchandising team always creates such unique window displays and this one was no different. Our mannequins looked ready for tee-off in traditional tartan trews which are synonymous with golfing attire. The first outfit was made up using our exclusive Harris Mist tartan trews paired with matching braces and flat cap, while our second look showcased the vibrant Buchanan Ancient tartan.
The display was completed with a vintage set of golf clubs and tartan accessories. We even created a tartan flagpole using our Harris Mist as a finishing touch to tie the whole window together. Prestwick Community Council members made a visit to our store to present the team with the award in person and we really enjoyed showing them around.
