There’s a new look in our windows for autumn, and this time, we’ve got a king up our sleeve.
Our latest window display has arrived, and we’re rather excited about this one. Taking the spotlight is a giant playing card featuring the King of Hearts - a subtle nod to the title we are proudly known by, The King of Kilts.
Standing either side of the card are two very different takes on highlandwear. One mannequin is dressed in a Baird Modern kilt, while the other wears a pair of Black Watch trews. The deeper greens and darker tones of both tartans lend themselves naturally to autumn, with the Black Watch trews giving a slightly more understated take on traditional highland dress. It’s a nice reminder that there’s no one way to put together a highland outfit
Both looks are finished with Signature Design jackets, bringing individuality to each outfit. Our Signature Design service gives customers the chance to create their own unique jacket and waistcoat, choosing everything from the fabric and lining to buttons, thread, collars, cuffs and pockets.
We’ve kept things a little different this autumn, rather than filling the windows with leaves and pumpkins, we’ve taken inspiration from colours and styles that perfectly suit autumnal fashion. The deep greens and darker tones of the tartans, paired with the rich fabrics of the signature jackets, give both outfits an unmistakable autumn feel.
We love seeing pieces come together in our store windows. While one look embraces the traditional kilt, the Black Watch trews offer something a little different, proving highlandwear can have variation.
And, of course, the King of Hearts ties the whole display together.
Our windows are always changing with the seasons, and we love finding new ways to bring the MacGregor and MacDuff personality to busy streets in Scotland.
