Following the success of our established London Kilt Fitting service, our new venture has taken us to Manchester. The fitting service is held in the Great John Street Hotel, an original Victorian school house transformed into a luxury townhouse hotel. A beautiful and perfectly fitting location for our monthly pop up. The interior connects with the MacGregor & MacDuff brand decor, and our visual merchandiser was able to create the perfect representation of an in-store experience. The hotel is located on a quiet residential street, with parking meter spaces available right outside.
Whether looking to buy, hire or be measured for a wedding party, our Sales Stylists will be in Manchester monthly on a Saturday and Sunday. The fittings will be on an appointment basis, with a one-on-one with our stylist where you will be guided through all of the customisable options for your kilt outfit, as well as being professionally measured. We will begin by going through all of our cloth books so you can choose which tartan you would like for your kilt. Once this has been decided upon, we will help you choose between our jacket colours and styles to see which will compliment the tartan best. We have a selection of sizing kilts, jackets, waistcoats and trews to try on, alongside a range of Highlandwear accessories, providing a source of inspiration on how you wish to style your new kilt outfit.
Our first Manchester fitting was the weekend of the 2nd of February, and we were almost fully booked. The majority of our MacGregor and MacDuff customers come to us through recommendation or by having used us before. The feedback that we had from the fitting was fantastic, we had a mix of customers looking to buy and to hire. We even had a wedding party who had approached us in Glasgow but the fitting service in Manchester offered a more suitable location for getting the groomsmen measured as they all lived in middle England. This fitting service is perfect for our customers who are not based in Scotland and looking to get quality handmade kilts for an event. We are very much looking forward to heading back to Manchester next month.
