At first glance of our new Harris Mist tartan, your eyes are directed to the cool and warm shades of grey that reflect the rugged, yet picturesque cliffs and slopes found throughout the Isle of Harris. Your eyes are then immediately drawn to the prominent burnt orange that has been incorporated into the design. This orange represents not only the cattle that graze across the Isle but also pays homage to the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that often turn the sky above Harris into a work of art. The orange adds a touch of warmth to the tartan design, much like the warmth you feel from the locals when you visit the Outer Hebrides. 

As you look deeper into the tartan, the green becomes more apparent. This natural, earthy green symbolises the flora of the Isle of Harris, an important element of its ecosystem that the resident deer and cattle enjoy for both sustenance and habitat. As your eyes complete their journey through the tartan design, the blue and subtle white lines are discovered. The Isle of Harris has long been known for its world-class fabric, but in more recent times, it has taken the top place in the rankings for most beautiful beaches in the world, often featuring multiple times on the same list.
