We understand that the task list on the lead up to your wedding can seem overwhelming, so at MacGregor and MacDuff we try to keep the whole process as simple as possible. With only a few steps involved, we will make sure that your full groom’s party is completely organised and looking their best for the big day!
We recommend to browse our social channels and website before heading into store; we have 16 hire tartans to choose from, as well as 5 jacket options, so this can help initially narrow down your options. Don’t worry if you can’t decide between a couple of outfits; we offer a complimentary Groom’s Fitting Service, allowing the groom to get fully dressed up in different outfit options. A Groom’s Fitting needs to be booked in advance as we reserve a fitting room and organise outfits to be brought into one of our stores in your exact sizes. You can be measured in one of our stores prior to your fitting or you can follow our self-measuring guide on the website. At the Groom’s Fitting you will have the opportunity to try on a range of different accessories; meaning that you can perfectly style your outfits as you wish for the big day.
Once you have set up your wedding party, we ask that all members are named and measured 12 weeks before the big day. This ensures that we have outfits booked out in everyone’s sizes. If your big day is less than 12 weeks away and you don’t have your wedding party organised – don’t panic! – contact one of our stores and we will try our best to sort everything for you.
Don’t forget your groomsmen gifts! Make sure you order 8 weeks before to ensure they are ready in time for your wedding. We have a wide range of accessories on the website, most of which are made to order so make sure you allow enough time for these to be ready before the big day!
4 weeks before the wedding we ask for the final payment to be made. We also recommend for all children, and anyone who thinks they may have changed size, to organise to come into one of our stores over the next week to make sure that their measurements are still the same.
Finally a few weeks before your wedding our wedding party coordinator will be in touch with you. At this point we will run through your full wedding party, making sure that all of the outfits are correct, as well as organising a collection time.
